Before they recorded as a duo, they took part of a group containing 8 musicians all named Franco. That explains the numbers in their duo name. They choosed to write songs under their alias Sharade E Sonago, first getting signed by [l=Style]. In 1968 they scored a huge hit ([r=1342145]), participating at "Disco per l'estate" competition. After changing label to [l=Fonit Cetra], Franco Romano lost interest in music and specialized in health physics. That was the end of this duo. Francesco Calabrese continued his solo career for some years.
