Boy That Ate His Glasses, The
Profile of the performer Boy That Ate His Glasses, The:
The Boy That Ate His Glasses was an experimental electronic musician and postmodern ideological preacher who released a bunch of DIY EP's between 2007 and 2012, documenting his own wondrous explorations through that most wonderful world of sound and frequency, releasing experiments and exercises in the obscure arts of songwriting, sound-design and sonic de(con)struction.
Using a large array of samplers, drum-machines, (soft)synths and midi-controllers - and drawing from a wide variety of influences ranging from hiphop, triphop, techno, rave, ambient and dance to singer-songwriter, rock, pop, lofi, industrial and modern classical music - he developed his own distinctive style of electronic music, often marked by a raw and dirty lofi sound and heavily layered with ideological vocal samples and/or politically charged vocals..
Rumor has it he suddenly retreated to a recluse Chinese mountaintop by the end of 2012 to study ancient wisdom from the east and become a Taoist monk.
Nothing was heard of him ever since...
