Pomme De Terre

Profile of the performer Pomme De Terre: Pomme de Terre (aka Jason Holland) was born and raised in the mountains of Western North Carolina, far from France, and far from anything else for that matter. When Pomme was twelve he started making dual-cassette deck pause/record instrumental dubs of hip hop tracks with bottom-of-the-line Casio keyboard accompaniment. Fourteen years later, he's doing roughly the same thing, but the advent of personal computers has nearly doubled his productivity. Pomme de Terre currently resides in Asheville, North Carolina where he is manager for a low-power community radio station. He cuts corners and gains subliminal recognition by composing most of the station's instrumental music beds himself.
